The 2006 Annual African American Literary Awards Show will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Alhambra Ballroom, 2116 Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard (corner of W. 126th Street) in Harlem at 6:30 p.m. The Open Book Awards recognizes, honors, celebrates and promotes the outstanding achievements and contributions that African-American authors and writers make to the publishing, arts and entertainment industries.
